

Bert was a loving husband to Mary Ramirez and a devoted father to his children Virginia Ramirez, Robert Ramirez (daughter-in-law Blanca), and Gilbert Ramirez. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bert's educational journey took him to Jeff Davis Senior High School, where he laid the foundation for his future endeavors. He later pursued higher education at the University of Houston, further enriching his knowledge and skills.
Bert proudly served in the Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War. He was a true patriot and his military service was a testament to his courage and dedication.
After his military service, Bert pursued a successful career as a pipe draftsman for over 35 years at Brown & Root Industrial Services. His expertise and attention to detail made him a valuable asset to the company.
Outside of work, Bert had a passion for dancing. He and his wife Mary were often seen on the dancefloor, gracefully moving to the rhythm. Bert also enjoyed playing sports, including basketball in his younger years and fast pitch softball. He was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Pan American Golf Association (PAGA) - Houston, TX Chapter.
He is preceded in death by his son, Daniel "Bertie" Ramirez, his parents Pedro R. Ramirez and Margarita Sepulveda Ramirez, his sister Virginia Garza, brothers Oscar Ramirez and Ernest Ramirez and brothers-in-law Mike Rodrigues and Jesse Garza
Bert is survived by his sisters, Delia Rodrigues, Estella Trejo(brother-in-law Adolph Trejo) Irma Garza and brother Everado "Lalo" Ramirez (sister-in-law Teresa).
A visitation for Bert will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, TX 77018. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 W. 34th St, Houston, TX 77018.. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m.at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, TX 77023.
Bert will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His warm smile, kind heart and love for his family will forever be cherished in their memories.
