

Ida was born in Argonia, Kansas where she went to school and grew up with three sisters and two brothers. She met her soulmate Donald Wayman, moved to Wichita and was married for 61 years before his passing in 2011. They enjoyed raising their daughter, Vickie Pennick, time with family, taking care of their home, and time at their cabin in Fall River.
Ida was the first female aircraft instrument technician in the state of Kansas and took great pride in her work and the relationships formed during that time. After retiring, Ida and Don were frequent walkers at Town West Mall and enjoyed staying busy with the estate sale business.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Pennick of Cypress, Texas; grandchildren, Donya Brewer of Cypress, Texas, Shanda Montgomery of Manhattan, Kansas, and Rex Pennick of Sierra Blanca, Texas; great grandchildren, Dylan Brewer, Brynn Brewer, Katelin Montgomery, and Tristan Montgomery; and great, great grandson Cash Brewer.
Ida was proceeded in death by her parents, Martha and Willie Fitz, her siblings, Rhoda Jean Daniels, Wilma Moore, Leona Berry, Bill Fitz, and Johnny Long; her husband, Donald Wayman; and her son in law Rex Pennick.
