Iliana Victoria Rivera an ambitious, compassionate, resilient, courteous, loyal, inspiring and vibrant loving soul gained her wings into eternity on September 5, 2026 leaving behind a world that feels a little darker without her light.

Lily entered the world on October 8, 1986 in Houston, Texas. She was a firecracker in every sense of the word. She was a spark- the kind of person who could walk into a room and somehow make it brighter with her presence.

Her energy was infectious, her laugh was contagious and her natural ability to make people feel loved was something truly special. She was one of the most thoughtful and giving souls you could ever meet.

Lily had an extraordinary heart and habit of putting everyone else first, often thinking about someone else’s need before thinking about herself. She loved to give her time, her love, her energy and her whole heart without hesitation.

Lily was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and so much more. She was the person you could call, the person who would show up, the person who could make you laugh when you needed it the most, and the person who loved fiercely. Her life was far too short, but it was filled with a love that was anything but small.

Lily is survived by her mother; Liliana Rivera, brother; Sal Rivera, sister in law; Yadina, four nieces; Itzayana, Leahnna, Kimberly and Itati, nephews; Maximus, David and Jose, and many family and friends that will miss her deeply.

She is now reunited in heaven with her father Salvador Rivera, brother; David and soulmate; Jesus Ybarra.

There are no words big enough to describe the hole Lily leaves behind but there is also no way to measure the impact she had while she was here. She leaves pieces of herself in everyone she loved.

We will see her laughter she gave us, hear her in the stories we tell, feel her in the moments when we need her the most, and carry her with us wherever life takes us.

Lily’s life may have been cut short, but her light will never be. Her spark will live on forever.
