Pam, Bill & Mary, I'm so sorry you lost your mom.  I know how much you all loved her and will miss her sweet smile and her hugs.  She gave the best hugs and kisses right on the mouth.  

I have so many fond memories of your mom.  I was 8 years when we moved across the street from the Selph family.  I thought Mrs. Selph was the most beautiful lady I had ever seen.  I didn't realize that "real" moms were that pretty.  Thought they were only in the movies or on television.  I always think of her with beautiful black hair and she always had her lipstick and her ear bobs on.  She always made a shy little girl feel welcome.  I was excited because Pam and I were almost the same age and I'd never had a little girl to play with....always boys.  We had some really good times playing dressup with her clothes, jewelry and sometimes her makeup.  She was always tolerant of silly little girls and never once discouraged us from dreaming.  She always encouraged us to follow those dreams.  I remember Pam's first boy/girl party and we played spin the bottle with Tommy Rust in the living room. Mrs. Selph stayed in the kitchen the whole time and never told us we couldn't play kissing games. I'm sure she knew what we were doing and we were probably about 12 years old at the time.  My mother would have had a stroke and sent the boys packing.  She took us to drive-in movies when Pappy was working nights at the fire station.  Then she would take us to Price's on Jensen and Berry and let us flirt with the boys.  I think she enjoyed seeing us have fun as much as we enjoyed having fun.  She was more fun than any other mom in our neighborhood.  She loved life and being happy and wanted everyone to be the same way.

I never remember her raising her voice to Pam, other than to call her home for supper or because it was getting close to bedtime.  Pam and I had lots of slumber parties at her house, just Pam, Mrs. Selph and me and we'd giggle half the night and she'd go to bed and let us stay up as long as we wanted to.  

I pray she knows this grown woman remembers all the good times she had as a little girl visiting in her home.  I loved her very much and will always cherish the memories of her that I hold in my heart.  Wish I could have one more hug and kiss from her.

We only visited with Inez on a few occasions over the years.  However, I think it was our loss to have not been more acquainted with such a sweet lady. My Mom, Nina Selph, enjoyed being with Inez and admired her.  We are so very sorry for your loss.  Janise Selph and Shirley Selph Garcia...daughters of Melvin C. Selph.

Mrs. Selph always was such a sweet lady.  She sat at the table next to my mom's table at Regency Village and would keep an eye on my mom for me.  My mom passed in 2010 but I still make visits to Regency to see all my dear friends.  Mrs. Selph was very dear to me.  I always enjoyed watching her sit in front of the fish tank, waiting for the fishes to kiss.  She would not go to her room until those fish kissed!!  She was a beautiful classy lady and I will miss her so very much.  My prayers for the Selph family.

Our first message did not show our names.We saying prayers for all of you today.So many great memories of times with her.And we was proud to call her and Pappy friends and now they are together again.They are so missed and loved.LOVED THE TWINKLE IN HER EYES,HUMOR AND THE SWEETEST SMILE EVER.

I'm so sorry to hear of Inez's passing. She always had a sweet smile on her face and a warm hug. Pappy and Inez were such an important part of my Granny and Papa's life (Joe and Shirley Holcomb). I know how much love there was between the two couples, and I'm sure that Papa is enjoying spending time with Pappy, and now Inez as well. My thoughts are with you all.

Pam & Mike your Mother and Grandma was such a sweet person. She was always sitting in the audience when Pappy was playing his fidder, with her head held high and just as proud as she could be. Now they are together again.

Pam, My deepest condolences.  Your Mom was a wonderful, warm lady.  She is now with Pappy and they are celebrating being together again.  I can just see the reunion.  Pappy, my folks and Joe Holcombe there to greet her.  What a party they must be having.  My love to you and the kids.
