Hello everybody, I first met Ira in 1997 where was haul truck driver at BPS soon to be Sunbelt equipment! I hired on there and we worked together for about 7 years together! Man what a great guy ! I remember how he would laugh out loud and shrug his shoulders at the same time! This is a true story! I personally gave ira the nickname of Dozer ! One morning in the back of the Sunbelt yard we were all out back James LeBlanc myself Thad Woolever and a few others from the scaffold side and we were always fooling around loading our trucks and getting ready to make a day ! Well a gentleman named Manuel walked up to Ira and kinda grabbed him from the front you know kinda shoulder to shoulder and was trying to push him backwards when two more joined in so he had 3 grown men trying to push him back only to all be pushed backwards by Ira !!! That’s when I told Ira that from now on his nickname would be dozer ! And later on he actually had Dozer put on his uniform! Yes Ira Jones was a beautiful soul !!!❤️
