Ira Williams Sr.

ra Williams Sr. was born October 16, 1939 in Shreveport Louisiana to the late Samuel and Kate Williams, Ira Sr. grew up in a loving home with his five sisters. In the 1950’s Ira Sr. moved to Houston, Texas where he met the love of his life, Fayette Jane Evans who later became his wife, they welcomed three beautiful children Connie, Linda and Ira jr.

Ira Sr. worked at Uncle Ben’s for several years retiring in the 1980’s, where he pursued his love for cooking and bbq (no one could smoke ribs like him). He later remarried Nora Lee Reece in the 2000’s.

Ira Sr. made his final transition from this earthly life into eternal rest on Saturday March 5, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Kate Williams, his late spouses Fayette Jane Williams and Nora Lee Reece-Williams, his children Connie Williams and Linda Fay White and his sisters Sammie Lee Caldwell, Mary Sublet, Louise Holt and Hattie Mae Roberts and his son-in-law R.D. White Sr.

He leaves a lifetime of loving memories to his son Ira Williams Jr. his grandchildren Nicole Monique White and R.D. White Jr. and his loving and devoted sister Mattie Sue Marks alongside a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
