I was privileged to have made acquaintances with Irene for about the last five years.  I was always impressed with her upbeat attitude regardless of the struggles she had.  She was a very special lady and I will miss her greatly.

Melissa I am so sorry for your loss.  I have many great memories of the times Tina and I spent at your house and your mom was always such a sweet person.  I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

During my many years at Holy Spirit, Houston, Irene was always an inspiration for me as someone of great fortitude, kindness and never-failing graciousness. She was indeed a dear person whom may wife and I will always remember with great affection.

Mrs. Ferrell was a lovely lady. I had utmost respect for her and feel blessed to have met her. We bought her home (which had formerly been her parents' home) on Wickway Drive in Houston. We no longer live there and I didn't keep up with her but I will always feel.a bond with her. She was a very inspiring lady who radiated happiness and love.
