Irene G Rapp

Irene Grace Rapp went to meet the Lord on February 27, 2020. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Walter and to their family as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was Born April 18, 1922 in the farming community of Laud, Indiana. After completing nursing school, she worked at the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana and later served her country in the Army Nurse Corps during WWII where she met the love of her life. After their military service, Irene and Walter made their home in Houston, raising their three children. She continued her nursing career working in private practice until her retirement. She was known as “Nurse Irene” and helped many friends and neighbors with their ailments. She was dedicated to her family, faithful in service to the Lord and the church. She is loved and respected by a large extended family.

A celebration of her life will be held March 12 at 11 AM at Living Word Lutheran Church, 3700 S. Mason Road, Katy, Texas 77450
