Isaac (Ike) Bingham DeVilliers was born on February 11th 1956 in Picher, Oklahoma to Betty June DeVilliers, and William Rodney DeVilliers Sr. He grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico alongside his brothers, William Rodney DeVilliers Jr., Dennis Keller DeVilliers, John Matthew DeVilliers, and his sisters Deborah June DeVilliers and Rebecca Ann DeVilliers. He leaves his wife of thirty-six years, and love of his life, Sara Reeds DeVilliers, along with his sons, Lucas Bingham DeVilliers (Gabrielle Jewel Theriot), Cole Barrett DeVilliers (Kelley Dawn Riggle), and grandson Nixon Bingham DeVilliers, son to Lucas and Gabrielle.
His life was full of love for his family & friends. From his beginning years in New Mexico, to his formative years in College at the University of Oklahoma, where he met Sara, to Tulsa, and to Texas where his career in Oil & Gas, and life as a husband and father began to bloom.
Throughout his life, he cherished company, and enjoyed chatting with strangers, as much as he did his dearest friends. Through and through, he was a people-person who was able to make people feel special with any quip, smile, joke, or moment of empathy. He was special to many, and many were special to him.
As the wheels kept turning, time caught up and he was stricken with illness which slowed him down. Although his
trials in his later years were challenging, he embraced his standing, worked hard towards his recovery, and developed a perspective on life which was more appreciative and present.
On January 12th, 2024, Ike departed this life surrounded by his wife, Sara, his two sons, Lucas & Cole, his brother Matt, sister Rebecca, and his grandson Nixon, who he loved dearly. Great friends, who are considered family, were there with him as well, and have been there to support his family throughout. He is preceded in death by his sister, Deborah June DeVilliers, his parents, William Rodney DeVilliers Sr., and Betty June DeVilliers, and his brothers, William Rodney DeVilliers Jr. and Dennis Keller DeVilliers.
Although he is gone in body, his spirit remains and lives with all of us in eternity. His smile was bright, his laugh was contagious, his fist-bumps were solid, and his hugs were warm. He will be sorely missed, but the moments and memories that were made together will be remembered forever.
