My deepest condolences to the Herrera family.  Lito was such a wonderful person, I may not have known him well but when he came to my job sites he was a breath of fresh air.  My clients and I will miss him dearly, it was always such a joy to see Lito.

I worked at M&M for 10 years and did not see Lito very much in person.  He was in and out of the warehouse location and I worked at the showroom location.  What I DO know is that regardless of the distant communication I had with him, he was amazing at his work and always impressed the clients!  I truly believe he lived life with love and it showed.  I send prayers and good wishes to you all.

You could feel how big Lito's heart was just in talking to him in a casual conversation.  He would always take the time to visit, wave, or  comfort if needed. His and Louisa's visit during a hard time for me was especially comforting. His loving spirit will be missed in the neighborhood.

To family and friends of Ismael “Lito” Herrera my heart aches for you.  Now that the tears have slowed I will try to express my thoughts.  The tears will slowly be replaced by smiles as we remember the past.  I had the honor of knowing Lito for about 24 years.  Working with him daily, we became more like brothers.  Yes even brothers argue but we always made up and went on.  Lito was one of the few people in my life that I could count on for help anytime I needed it.  He was one of the most giving people I knew.  A better friend no man could ever ask for.  Knowing that your suffering is over we will strive to go on without you.  “My Friend” I Miss You.

We have been fortunate to know Lito for the past twenty six years.  He had become family, to us.  He was a vital part of a team, that supplied floor coverings to interior designers.  His absence will be felt, not only by those of us at work, but also by the designers who had come to rely on him for quality in everything he did.  If Lito was busy, designers were willing to wait, instead of using another installer.  He was, without doubt, the best carpet mechanic in the area, and took great pride in that reputation.

His talents and commitment to excellence, earned him the opportunity to work in some of the finest homes, yachts and planes in the world, and to travel to many far away places.

We are saddened that the world has lost such an outstanding individual.  Our hearts are heavy, and our prayers are with his family and friends, as they go thru this time of sadness.

In this time of sorrow, my thoughts and prayers for the Herrera Family.

If longevity was dependent upon good deeds, Lito Herrera would have lived another two or three decades. If there was a need, somehow God dispatched Lito. Uncannily he would always show up if my head was under the hood or as they say "in the weeds". He was there to consult, support, and break a sweat. He had an inate wisdom that knew the difference between the petty and the valuable and we laughed often when one or the other [mostly me] chose the petty. I feel like there is a beacon missing in my neighbor. One that would flash  to warn of danger, but illuminate when a blessing required gratitude. I will miss his daily honks as he passed on his way to work. But I think I was given a gift when Providence arranged for him and Louisa to be my neighbors. He taught me a great deal about humility and even love. He was that kind of man , and may my life reflect a glimmer of his dignity. So long my friend until we meet again. Afterall ,God's love is eternal.
