

Lee was the son of Jack Lee Enyart, Sr. and Mary Alice Enyart. He was a member of the Class of 1977 at Alfred Bonnabel High School in New Orleans and received his Bachelor of Science in Construction from Louisiana State University in 1983. He was employed as a project manager by Miner Dederick in Houston. Always interested in outdoor activities, Lee was an avid gardener and loved camping. He supported The Boy Scouts of America and actively worked for that organization. He served as the den leader of Pack 1283 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School. He also supported Boy Scout Troop 55 at The Episcopal Church of St. John the Divine. He loved to cook and created a cookbook filled with recipes gathered from his extended family. He served as an usher and church school teacher at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Houston.
Lee was the beloved husband of Angela Shaffer Enyart and the dear father of Stephen James and Mark David Enyart. His loving family includes his mother and father in law, James A. and Helen Shaffer. He will also be greatly missed by his brother in law and sister in law, Hugh and Katheryn Shaffer Ray III and his dear niece and nephews, James Henry, Mary Carol, and John William Ray. In addition, Lee has left his aunts and uncle, Dr. Janet P. McDaniel of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Thomas and Anita Von Bokern of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. He also leaves his cousins, Chris and Cathie McDaniel and their children, Rebecca and David McDaniel as well as Greg and Judy McDaniel and their daughter, Erin. He leaves his cousins Vincent and Sharon Von Bokern from Rescue, California, as well as Mark and Amber Von Bokern and their sons, Brady and Bryce of Morrisville, North Carolina, along with David and Donya Othling and their daughters, Kelsey and Carly of Tallahassee, Florida.
His parents, the late Jack Lee and Mary Alice, preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister, Susan Enyart, his brother and sister in law, Chris and Amy Enyart, as well as a dear cousin, Catherine Cunningham. He also is survived by his cousins, Eugene and Carolyn Bryant Pizzeck and their sons, Marc and Paul of New Orleans, Louisiana. Lee will also be greatly missed by his devoted friends, Ed and Debbie Sharp and their daughters, Laura and Caroline.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening on Thursday, the 4th of August, in the Library and Grand Foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
A Requiem Mass is to be offered at two o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 5th of August, at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road in Houston, where the Rev. Kenneth L. Fields, Vice-Rector, the Rev. Richard H. Elwood, Assisting Priest for Pastoral Care and Outreach, and the Rev. Edward L. Stein, Canon Precentor at Christ Church Cathedral, are to officiate.
