James Darren Jones, age 53, of Spring, Texas passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022. He was born in West Monroe, LA on September 23, 1968. Darren graduated from Escondido High School, and had a career serving people and as a salesman at Leaf Filter. He had a passion for hunting and fishing. Darren lived life loud, he lived life well, and he lived life with love.
He is preceded in death by his father Jimmy Jones and brother Justin Jones.
Darren is survived by his wife Edwina Jones; mother Dayna Smith; stepfather Jerry Smith; daughters Lindsey Jones and Brooklyn Jones; stepson River Marks; brother Loren Jones; sister in law Misti Jones; nephew Gentry Jones; niece Madison Jones; grandson Greyson Quintana; granddaughter Mahayla Marks, and a very large extended family.
Special thanks to the amazing staff of doctors, nurses and technicians at Baylor Transplant Center. They were the best. Our hearts are forever grateful for the care given to Darren and the compassion shown to us.
A funeral service for Darren will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 7:00 PM at Royalwood Church, 7803 Uvalde Rd., Houston, TX 77049.
Serving as pallbearers are Loren Jones, Gentry Jones, Casey Jones, Robert Garza, Page Marks, Noah Steel and Mack White.
