The Almighty Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 6, 2022. He is proceeded in death by his
brother George Bagatelas his sister Calliope Bagatelas- Koutela, and her husband Dimitri.
James leaves behind a loving wife of 57 years.
James met, fell in love and married Chrisoula Dikeos after only 14 days in the summer of 1964
in Kalamata, Greece. There love story was one for the ages. He also leaves behind two children,
Libby Bagatelas Mays (Greg) and Tony Bagatelas, two grandsons, Andrew Mays and James
Mays. His grandsons were the apple of his eyes. The world revolved around his family.
He will be forever remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, loyal
friend, and faithful servant of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
Trisagion and Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 24 at 10:00 a.m. at
Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 3511 Yoakum Blvd, Houston, Texas 77006. Burial
will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
