I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. It seems unbelievable, but John 5:28, 29 gives us the hope we need in our times of mourning. My heartfelt condolences goes out to the family and friends.

Jim had that constant smile and was a sweet soul and I can't believe he's gone. I worked with Jim for many years at Earthmans as funeral directors. Serious business but we had a good time. Even after I opened my own funeral home we remained friends. We gathered on many occasions in Roundtop, Texas near my farm for drinks and we kept up with each other via text. I find it ironic that one of the last conversations we had he said "Jim I miss my mother". As I have recently lost my mother also, I understood that. I sincerely know he's with her now. Rest in Peach my friend and God Bless You,

Hard to believe one of our own is gone. My condolences to the Earthman family and his work family at Earthman Bellaire and to all who knew and loved him.

I was in total shock of hearing the death of Jim. I talked to Jim last month at a First Impressions Summit we attended for the company. When we talked we reminisced about old times. When Earthman was acquired by SCI, Jim came in the office and said, “Did you hear we were bought by SCI” and I was thinking he was joking like he would do at times. He was simply a good man, and he had a true passion for the families that we serve. He will be really missed and a massive link is missing in the chain of Earthman Funeral Directors and SCI. We will have to emulate the professionalism, passion and commitment to the families we are so privileged to care for in their time of bereavement. Thank you Jim for your service to excellence and to all you came in contact with.

When I came to Houston 20 years ago and knew no one, Jim was one of the first to smile and become a great friend . He loved to tell the story of how we met every time we were amongst friends . Witty yet someone that always had a smile . I will miss seeing that smile and laugh . Till we meet again friend .. Rest In Peace ..

Jim was always a true professional. A man that brought dignity to our industry. His family was blessed to have him as a representative of the Earthman family. I know he will be missed. Rest in peace Jim.
