He was born on December 22, 1968, to the late Faye Petty and Carl Jackson. James is survived by his sister, Barbie York, and brother-in-law, Harley York, as well as his brother, Doug Jackson, and sister-in-law, Catherine Jackson. He was a loving uncle to his nieces, Samantha and Kendall, and his nephews, Cody and Douglas.
James was known for his love of drinking Coke and always had a smile on his face. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a niece, Stephanie Moore.

Funeral services November 13, 2025 at Paradise Funeral Home, 11am, family will receive friends 10 am until time of service. Interment will be held at Brookside Cemetery.
