James Donald Cook

He was preceded in death by his parents Jimmie Cook and Zettie Blount Cook, siblings Annie Cook, Bennie Cook, Omerlee Taylor, and Joy Ream.

He leaves his siblings Mary Schmidt, Margaret Mahle, William Cook and Ruby Cook. Children Travis Cook Sr. wife Linda, Denice Cook husband Alan Frnka, Sharon Cook husband Leon Soriano and Karen Cook. As well as, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

In his early years, Mr. Cook served twenty-one years in the Army. He earned two Bronze Star Medals and the National Rifle Association of America Awards in Rifle and Pistol. The National Rifle Association of America in Pistol is still the American record with a score of over 98.8%. He served in Vietnam for one tour and always stood strong for his country.

He enjoyed the history of firearms and instilled the protection and correct usage of those using them to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
