James was born on July 18, 1950, in Houston, Texas. He lived a life built on faith, love, and hard work. The kind of love that showed up every day and year after year. He met Norma back in high school and from that moment on they walked through life side by side. They married in 1970 and shared 56 years of partnership that stood as a model of devotion and strength.
James loved his Lord, his family, and country. He enjoyed quiet evenings watching old black and white westerns and treasured the annual tradition of white-tail hunting, a ritual that connected him to the land and people he loved. As a carpenter and builder, James didn't just construct homes, he built people. He mentored countless men in home building and commercial construction, teaching them not only skills but character.
He leaves behind his wife Norma, his son Jamie and daughter-in-law Nancy, grandchildren Mikko, Stefani, Madeleine, Joshua, and Robert, and great-grandchildren Andrew and Rosie. He is preceded in death by his daughter Stephanie, his parents Reva Jean and Raymond, and two brothers, Steven and Paul. James lived with purpose, loved without hesitation, and inspired everyone fortunate enough to know him. His legacy is one of faith, family, strength, and hard work.
