James Harrison Norris joined his Lord and Savior on March 3, 2017. His wishes were that today would not be a time for sorrow and mourning but rather a joyous occasion sprinkled with laughter and happy memories. He never liked to see people sad. While in this world, he did his best to bring a smile to every face he met. There were no strangers in his everyday circles.
Although his passing was sudden, he led a full life and is survived by his beloved wife Charlene, daughters – Rosie, Laura, and Jessica, his favorite son-in-law Bobby, and 7 grandchildren – Isaiah, Dalilah, Micah, Isabella, Abigail, Penelope, and Enoch, as well as his mother Sallie, brother Sam, and his sister Katrina.
James “Pa-pa” is best remembered for corny jokes, pranks, talking (telling stories,) and a generous heart. Please help us remember him in this way with memories that share smiles, stories that display his caring nature, and an abundance of love.
He will truly be missed, but this is not goodbye. This is simply, “See you Later.”
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Gathering Calvary Chapel 5790 N. Main Street Baytown, Texas 77521 at 6:30p.
