James William Owens, 72, of Houston, Texas passed into eternal rest on December 17, 2019. He was born in Weatherford, Texas on October 2, 1947 to Edgar and Margie Faye Owens. March 16, 1972 James married Alice Louise Green. James was a dedicated drywall finisher for Marek Brothers for 36 years. He was a member of Painters Local 130 and enjoyed bowling, hunting, water sports, trail riding and fast pitch softball were just a few of his passions.
Left to cherish his memories are wife Alice, son Steve and wife Kristin, daughter Natalie and husband Noe, son Thomas-James, grandchildren: Nicole, Dillon, Peytan, Rylee and Jaxzyn, great-grandchild Aaliyah, sister Carolyn, brother Eugene and wife Debbie.
A memorial service will be held for James on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
