James enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and attending church. He worked in the funeral industry for 35 years.
James is survived by children Jeff Ownbey and wife Joan, and Karen Sowell and husband Chris; grandchildren Russell, Valerie, Amanda, and Kimberly; Great-grandson Nathan; and sister Donna Hall.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, February 13th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Pat H. Foley & Co. A service to celebrate James' life will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, February 14th at the chapel of Pat H. Foley & Co.
