James Raymond Vance, Sr., born January 4, 1936 in Caldwell, TX entered into eternal rest July 18, 2015. James served proudly in the U.S. Army from 1955-1958 and retired from Nabisco after being a dedicated employee for over 40 years. He was a devoted husband, loving father and awesome friend. James is preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Jeane Vance; daughter, Cheryl Vance Bolch; granddaughter, Jessica Reene Duncan; parents: George A. and Anne M. Vance; siblings: Evelyn Hall, Loucille Jones, Andrew Vance, Robert Vance, Ernest Vance, George Vance Jr. and Alice Vance. Left to cherish his precious memories: sons: James R. Vance Jr and wife Karen, Robert Vance and wife Dee; daughter, Doreen Duncan; grandchildren: Deanne Thomas and Jeanine Duncan; sisters: Anita Kubena and Grace Brymore; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 6-8pm. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in the Family Chapel of Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
