

James J. Sentner Jr.,74, passed away peacefully on August 27 in his home surrounded by his loving wife of 51 years, Betty Ann, his children, John (Kimberley) and Mary Jo (J.T.), five grandchildren and three step-granchildren, extended family and devoted friends.
A skilled trial lawyer, Jim practiced aviation, maritime and international law at Haight, Gardner, Poor & Havens from 1966 to 1995 and thereafter with Gardere, Wynne until 2013. He received the Burton Award for Legal Achievement in 2004 and was honored at the Congressional Library in Washington, D.C. Jim was an avid golfer and biker who participated in the MS150 for the past 12 years despite his illness.
Visitation will take place from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Recitation of The Holy Rosary will commence at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 1, 2014, at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston.
