James Lamar Thompson

James was raised on a farm and had some college education. He then served a four year term with The United States Navy. He worked at and retired from American National Can.

James was a loving husband to Barbara Thompson for 68 years. He was a caring father, grandfather, and great –grandfather. He was a prominent member of The Faith Assembly Church. His interest consisted of reading, putting puzzles together, telling stories and spending time with his family.

James was preceded in death by his parents; siblings; and son, Ronnie Lamar Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Thompson; children, Jim Thompson and wife Linda; Bonnie Townsend and husband Tommy; Nancy Klehm and husband Kenneth; grandchildren, Ronnie Thompson and wife Sonia; Chris Thompson and wife Tabitha; Tra Townsend and wife Carol; Rodney Townsend and wife Liz; Monica Heckner and husband Aleks; Adrianne Charles and husband Michael; Misty Palmer and husband Jason; Elina Nunez; great grandchildren, Zachary Townsend; Carissa Thompson; Tysen Townsend; Madisen Townsend; Ian Thompson; Isabelle Thompson; Christian Thompson ; Autumn Thompson; Anastasia Heckner; Sofia Heckner; Eden Heckner, Madeleine Charles; Gabriel Charles; Baby Palmer on the way.
