Jane will be missed terribly and honored daily by her husband, of 55 years Louis Richard Prekop; children Louis Prekop Jr, wife Cindy and children Stephane and Zach; son James and wife Christy and their children, Mattea, Trevor, Erin and Amy; daughter Lori Yoho her husband Gary and their children Ryan, Nick and Adam; Son David. wife Suzi and their children, Nail and Maria; son Jeff and his wife Jen. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sadie Moyer, father Reid Moyer and brother James Moyer. She will be remembered and honored at upcoming weddings of her grandchildren, Mattea to Aaron Gilbert of Montpelier, OH, and Ryan to Kristen Marino of Baton Rouge, LA
Born Jane Moyer on April 2, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio, Jane grew up and went to school in Northeastern Ohio. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan as a young woman, attending many games and meeting many players. Jane worked several years for Sohio in Cleveland, taking a break to raise her family, and then returning to work at BP in the 1990’s. Jane and Lou moved several times throughout their 55 year marriage, including stops in San Diego, CA., Anaheim, CA, Bedford Hts., OH and Broadview Hts., OH. They settled in Katy, Texas in 2006.
Jane enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. Jane and Lou took special trips to the United Kingdom, Australia, Hawaii and Alaska. During summers, the loving grandparents would take each of their grandkids on a special one-tank trip, to a destination of the grandkids’ choice. Cooperstown, NY, Niagara Falls, Canada, and Cincinnati, OH were favorite spots. Jane was a talented seamstress and loved making quilts before Alzheimer’s Disease robbed her of that ability.
Jane spent the last two and a half years of her life at a wonderful facility in Katy. Our family is so grateful for the love with which the Grace Care Nursing Facility showered our wife and mom. During her last days, Jane was visited by countless nurses, CNA’s, maintenance and kitchen staff who displayed amazing compassion and love that will be remembered forever.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association in your city.
