Janelle M. Young

Janelle Marshall Young, 90, of Granbury, Texas passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Funeral Services are planned Sunday, June 25 at 2:00 at the Brookside Funeral Home and Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Visitation will be on the same day from 12:30 to 2:00.

Janelle was born on June 26, 1926 to Louis and Lucile Marshall in Jacksonville, Texas. She lived most of her life in Houston, even though her husband’s job took them to several different cities in Texas and Ohio. She was a member of the Tolar Church of Christ and the Elizabeth Crocket Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Janelle was preceded in death by her husband, Roy M. Young; parents, Louis and Lucile Marshall; sister, Mary Louise Datray. She is survived by her son, Ken Young and his wife Linda from Winder, Georgia; daughter, Kathy Carmichael and her husband Charles from Granbury, Texas; grandchildren, Leigh Carmichael, Michael Young and his wife Nicole, Jeffrey Young; great-grandchildren, Archer and Anderson Young. She also loved her nephew and nieces.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Tolar Church of Christ or Universal Health Services of Ft. Worth.
