

After a protracted battle with cancer, Janet Leigh Brown died on February 7, 2015 in Houston, Texas at the age of 52. She leaves behind her husband, Cary Neal Brown; her Son, Jason Neal Brown; and her daughter, Kristin Leigh Brown-Dean.
Janet Brown was born on April 7, 1962 in Houston, Texas, to father Leroy T. Davidson (a.k.a., PA) and mother Laura J. Davidson (a.k.a, Grannie), who predeceased her. She grew up in a loving family with her sister, Kandi Schramm, brother, David Davidson, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Janet married Cary Brown on December 31, 1979. She was driven by her deep love of children, family, and friends. When diagnosed with uterine sarcoma cancer in 2013, she remained dedicated in her work and in her will to fight her illness. She remained a brave, iron-willed woman, even throughout her final days.
Janet requested to be interred with her family at the family plot in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
The family would especially like to thank the staff at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and her private medical team abroad for their excellent work, loving care, constant, and attentive treatment. A special thank you to Joe and Viki Basha for their lifesaving efforts while abroad.
A Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00pm on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
Donations can be made to the Brookwood Community in Brookshire, Texas in lieu of flowers.
