Janet M. Ferrera

JANET M. FERRERA, age 82, of Pearland, TX passed away Monday, November 30, 2020. Janet was born on June 5, 1938. She was a nurse for over 40 years. Janet loved her profession. She began on the general floors, then worked her way into Intensive Care, Cardiac Care, and Post-Surgical Recovery Room. She took care of many people and caring about people was her utmost joy in life, second to following a Christian life. Janet was married on December 28, 1958, to her loving husband of 45 years, Ray. Ray preceded her in death on November 5, 2003.

Janet is survived by her daughters, Lynda Bishop and her husband Bob, Lori Peeples and her husband Shane; and son, Ray Ferrera and his wife Yvonne. She is survived by her grandchildren Bobby, Joey, Christopher and Carter. She has preceded in death her brother, Eddie Zimmerman and his wife Libby, and her brother-in-law, Pat Orlando. She is survived by her sister, Edie Orlando. Janet is also survived by many nieces, grand-nieces, nephews, and grand-nephews.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 7, 2020, at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery. Funeral service at 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Monday, December 7, 2020. Rev. B. Cole will officiate.
