

She was born on the 30th of September 1936 in McCormick, South Carolina to Gladys Anita (Folk) and Robert Daniel Suber, who both precede her in death. Janice is also preceded in death by her loving husband and partner, Robert C. “Bob” McNair in 2018.
Along with many extended family and friends, and her Houston Texans family, Janice is survived by her four children, sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and another great-grandchild on the way any day now, who will all miss her greatly.
After growing up in Orangeburg, South Carolina, Janice graduated from Columbia College before marrying Robert C. “Bob” McNair and ultimately relocated their family to Houston, Texas in 1960. It is here where Janice and Bob embarked on a lifelong career of philanthropy by generously giving back to the community. Mrs. McNair was the Co-Founder and Senior Chair of the Houston Texans.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening on Thursday, the 23rd of July, in the library and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
A funeral service is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Friday, the 24th of July, in the sanctuary of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 3471 Westheimer Road in Houston, where Dr. Tom Pace, Senior Pastor St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, and Rev. Dr. David Peterson, Pastor Emeritus Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church are to officiate.
The family will gather for a private interment.
