Janie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Elvin Hawk; her father, Guy Slay; her mother, Johnnie Lee Slay; and her sister, Elaine Lytle. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Hawk Litchenberg; her grandson and love of her life, Taylor Hawk Litchenberg; son-in-law, Jack B. Litchenberg; nephew, Chuck Lytle; and niece, Janie Lytle.
Janie was currently living among dear friends at Eagle's Trace. She had many interests including china painting and a love of antiques.
A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, May 12, 2011 in the chapel at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road, Houston, TX. A reception will immediately follow in the Parlor.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice.
After 90 years, Janie will be missed greatly by all.
