After moving to America, Janie met the love of her life, Kevin Nguyen. Janie and Kevin exchanged vows on May 5th, 1982. In less than 3 weeks from now; it would have been their 30th wedding anniversary.
Janie was a terrific mother of 4 beautiful children, Michael (29), Tony (26), Julieann (25), and Kathy (22). Her love for her children is like nothing else in the world.
Janie was granted her angel wings on April 11, 2012 after 6 years of battling with ovarian cancer. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Janie had touched in some way throughout her short, yet very memorable life.
Janie’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile brought so much joy to family and friends.
Although she was so weak and frail, she gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. She loved to cook and go shopping. She could spend hours shopping in her favorite leopard flats and still have food ready for dinner.
Janie is survived by her husband, Kevin Nguyen; sons Michael and Tony; daughters Julieann, Kathy, and Ericka.
To my beloved
I thank God for giving you 49 years. 30 years were spent together, laughing and crying. Whether they be tears of joy or sadness, we shared them together. We were one body and soul. For the past 6 years, you have battled cancer and fought courageously. Even though the words never came out, I always knew you were worried about me and the kids after you leave with God. My everlasting love, I've realized that you have left me physically, but I know for sure that you will always be with me spiritually.
I love you always and forever,
Your Soul mate
My Mother was a strong, beautiful, and gracious woman. Her care for others never ceased to amaze me. Her hunger for life and success was relentless. Her battle with cancer was victorious. She is now celebrating her life with our Lord in Heaven. My Mother will be missed very much.
Her Son,
Michael Nguyen
My mother
By: Tony Nguyen
She was the center of our family,
A loving mother, wife, and devoted worshiper of God,
A fighter till the very end,
Never gave up on life,
Her strength; immeasurable.
My mother will live on in all of us.
Mommy,
You’ve endured a lot over these past five years and a half. Hope and faith were some of the blessings from God that allowed you to put up a great fight. I am very grateful to have been able to share those moments with you. Memories of laughters, tears, and joy. I love you mommy!!!
Love,
Your Leechu
Mom,
I love you and miss you so much. I know you will always be here with me guiding me in every decision I must make. You taught me everything I needed to know from which tube of lipstick to pick to the basic tips of surviving in the real world. I will always cherish the memories we had together. I know I will be strong because that is what you have taught me; therefore, I will strive in life. I am forever grateful to have had you as a mother, and I will continue to always make you proud. You may be gone but you will forever and always be in my heart.
Forever your,
Little Hon and Kitty Kat.
