Janis Marie Camp

Janis (Jan) Marie Camp, age 75, of Cypress, TX passed away on March 17, 2023. She was born in Houston, Texas on February 27, 1948, to Paul Gamble and Betty Stewart. Her birth father unfortunately passed away early in her life, and she was raised by her mother and stepfather TJ Landry, whom she loved with all her heart.

Jan is preceded in death by Paul Gamble (father), TJ Landry (stepfather), Betty Stewart Landry (mother), Ronnie Gamble (brother), Steve Gamble (brother), and Jamie Crowder (sister).

Jan is survived by her sisters Donna Gamble and Phyllis Landry; her three sons and their wives Frank Jr and Dawn Saye, Ronnie and Valerie Saye, and Rodney and Barbara Saye; grandchildren, Madelynn, Macie, and Kevin Saye; and her many nephews, nieces, and dear friends.

Her family was the light of her life and her relationship with her sisters was cherished. She was an amazing mother, nana, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. To know her was to love her. She enjoyed shopping, playing card games, decorating, dancing, but most of all just spending quality time with her family.

Family and friends are invited to join in Jan’s memorial service at Brookside Funeral Home and Memorial Park, located at 13747 Eastex Freeway in Houston, Texas beginning at 2 p.m., burial to follow at 3 p.m.
