Jason was born in Shreveport, LA on September 17, 1960 to Howard E. Kirby, Jr. and Bettye G. Kirby, both of whom preceded him in death.
He attended public school in Houston and graduated from Briarwood High School in 1979.
Jason lived in various places throughout Texas before settling down in Springtown. After the passing of his father, he returned to Houston. Jason had planned to spend his retirement in Springtown. It was his dream to live a simple life near a lake, enjoying the tranquility it had to offer.
He enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking up some of his favorite dishes for family and friends. In 2013, Jason received his certification in restaurant management.
A memorial service will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 12345 Katy Freeway; Houston, Texas 77079 on April 8, 2017 at 3:00pm with the Reverend John Pitts presiding. There will be a reception following the service.
