In November 2005, Jerry and Sharon Hornsby dedicated Jaylyn as a love offering to God at The Church Without Walls in Houston, Texas. Jaylyn began attending The Church Without Walls from birth and loved to attend children’s church there. Most recently, she also began attending services at Lakewood Church.
From the beginning of her young life, Jaylyn was full of life, love and joy. She touched all those around her that came into contact with her. Throughout her life, she loved God, and always loved talking and singing to him. Her love for others was infectious and although she was very young, she lived her life just as God has commanded us all to do, to love one another.
Jaylyn was a very bright star; she was in the gifted class at Birkes Elementary school. She loved to read, write, sing and dance with all her heart. Jaylyn was a very active 6 year old. She enjoyed ballet and tap at the Carol Ehler Dance School. Jaylyn also enjoyed ice skating and swimming.
On November 6th, 2011, God called Jaylyn for a special assignment. She received her wings this day and joined God in heaven. Jaylyn spent her last days on earth surrounded by many prayers and loved ones at Texas Children’s hospital.
