Corey Burley passed away unexpectedly on August 28, 2020. He was born on December 23, 1987 to Jo Anne and Charles Burley. Raised here in Houston, Texas, Corey was involved in many sports throughout his childhood. He attended and graduated from MacArthur High School and was a proud member of the MacArthur Generals track and field team. Corey then went on to pursue a career as a commercial truck driver. Corey met the love of his life Heather in 2013. They were married in January 2017. Corey and Heather were blessed with three children: Tristan, Aaleyah and Easton. Corey enjoyed his family time, sports, dancing and barbecuing every Sunday with his wife and kids. Corey maintained those passions until his passing. Corey was proud of his deep, life-long relationships with friends. He cared for them with humor, loyalty, and respect. Corey was a dear husband to Heather, devoted father to Tristan, Aaleyah and Easton. He was a stickler for a nice clean outfit. A legendary dancer that will forever be talked about. Corey was always there to help a friend in need. Corey was preceded by his brothers: Charles Burley Jr, Richard Johnson and son Tristian Edward Burley.
Memorial Services and a Celebration of Life in Corey’s honor will be conducted for family and friends at Brookside Funeral Home & Brookside Memorial Park.
