Beloved daughter to John Alton Burdine, Jr., M.D. and Ann Jurecka Burdine, Jennifer was born in Galveston, Texas on the 19th of February 1963. After attending the Briarwood school as a youth, Jennifer became a full time resident of the Brookwood Community in Brookshire, Texas, where she lived for most of her adult life. Through that loving and nurturing environment, Jennifer flourished. She took great pride in being a productive citizen of Brookwood, where she truly had a “village” of loving and caring people who supported her in every way, and whose lives she also enriched. Jennifer was one of God’s most special angels whose legacy of love and joy will endure in our hearts forever. The world has been a better place because of her.
In addition to the wonderful staff at Brookwood, the family would like to thank the ICU staff at Methodist West Hospital for their extraordinary care and support of Jennifer during her recent hospitalization.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, John Alton Burdine, Jr., M.D., and her grandparents, Isadore Jurecka, Cecil Jurecka, John Alton Burdine, Sr. and Manon Burdine. She is survived by her mother, Ann Jurecka Burdine, brother Scott Burdine, his wife Linda and their children Brian, Laura and Katie Gow, and her husband, Christopher Gow, brother Will Burdine, his wife Stephanie and their children Ashley, Natalie and Daniel.
