Lifelong resident of Houston, TX. After graduating from Milby High School, Jerald served in the U.S. Army during WWII. When the war ended, he attended the University of Houston and graduated as an Architectural Engineer. Most of his career was in the Oil and Gas industry. He loved weekends at the bay house, which he built with his brother “Bubba”. Hunting and fishing were favorite pastimes for many years. Spent several Thanksgivings on a deer lease.
Later in life he enjoyed travelling with Joyce out of the country, especially to Argentina. Their other trips to Europe with Trina and the grandkids were great fun.
He lived a full life and was ready to meet the Lord.
Jerald’s family would like to thank all of the loving caregivers with Compassus Hospice and Autumn Leaves for their devoted service.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 45 years, Joyce Plaster, his son Victor Plaster (Kathy), daughter Janet Jenkins (Phil), grandchildren Blake Plaster and Kaitlyn Plaster. He was recently preceded in death by his step-son David Ford. Survived by step-daughter, Kathy Huber (John) of Tulsa, OK, and their children, Nick Huber (Heather), Kelsey Rutherford (J.P.), Patrick Huber (Rianne), Christopher Huber, three greatgrandchildren, Sister Bernice Gracey, many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Thursday, the 31st of May, in the Chapel of Angels at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street in Houston.
The interment will immediately follow also at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery where Jerald will be laid to rest with military honors.
