Jeremiah, or simply “Jerry” to many, was born on October 28, 1978, to Esmeralda Hulse and Henry Hernandez. He was the oldest of four children.
Jerry held his family close to his heart. His firecracker personality, inherited from his mother, brought joy and laughter to his younger siblings. His strong work ethic was shaped by both his mother and his stepfather, Tito Hulse, whom Jerry proudly called Dad.
Jerry’s love for family deepened when he became a father in 1996 to his first daughter, Ivana, and again in 1998 when he welcomed his second daughter, Bryana. After his time at Waltrip High School, Jerry began a career in HVAC sales, where he built a nearly 30-year career across multiple companies and roles. He will be remembered by his coworkers for his quick wit and kind, loving spirit. He had a gift for turning colleagues into lifelong friends and was known for always offering a helping hand to anyone in need.
Jerry cherished fatherhood. Later in life, he was blessed to welcome a third daughter, Mercedes, and in 2008, his son, Dillon. He took immense pride in his children and the unique paths each of them pursued- a pride he shared freely with anyone he met.
Jerry was a caring and kindhearted man who consistently put the needs of others before his own. In the simplest terms, he was everything a father should be.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Arthur Galvan for his friendship and unwavering support, which meant so much to Jerry, and for the precious memories Jerry was able to share with Arthur.
Jeremiah Hernandez is preceded in death by his father, Henry Hernandez.
He is survived by his mother, Esmeralda Hulse (Tito); his brothers, Jacob Hernandez and Joseph Hernandez (Samantha); his sister, Christina Hernandez; his daughters, Ivana Gonzalez (Sergio), Bryana Machac (Levi), and Mercedes Perez (Cristo); his son, Dillon Hernandez; his grandsons, Oliver Beck Machac and Leon Martinez; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, US, on March 6, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
