On October 15, 2025, Jeremy was called home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was marked as a child of God when he was baptized as a child at Atascocita Lutheran Church and later confirmed his faith as a teenager at Christ Lutheran Church.
Jeremy was born in Houston, Texas on August 26, 1982 and spent his childhood in the North Shore, Woodforest area in Houston. He attended schools in the area and graduated from North Shore High School in June, 2000. During his childhood he had numerous friends and loved playing sports, especially soccer and baseball. He had a fun-loving personality and enjoyed spending time with his cousins during family gatherings and vacations. He will be missed by those who loved him and knew him. His contagious laugh and personality will always be remembered.
Later in life his passions were cooking, fishing, and mudding. He was an entrepreneur and owned and operated Squeaks Window Cleaning & Pressure Washing.
Jeremy and Christi Kellar were blessed with a son, Cayden who was their pride and joy. Sadly, Christi passed away in 2018 and Jeremy became a single parent. Cayden was the love of his life and Jeremy took pride in providing for him and being a good father to him.
Jeremy is survived by his only son, Cayden Acrey (age 14) and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Essie Johnson, his mother Susan Lynn Johnson, and his father Jesse Louis Acrey.
A visitation with the family will be held Friday, October 31, 2025 at 10:00 am at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas. A service to celebrate his life will follow at 11:00 am the same day.
