

Jeremy was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth “Betty” and Reverend Arthur Knapp; and his sisters, Elizabeth Sebesta and Varney Knapp. He is survived by his sister, Deborah Schumacher of Versailles, Kentucky; his niece, Marguerite Clayton; and his nephew, James Sebesta.
Jeremy loved swimming and music. According to his mother, he loved to sing in church when he was young, listening to music, and was a long time member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Houston. Jeremy attended The Center Programs all his life and moved to Willow River Farms, residential living facilities for adults with disabilities, in 1989. His interest and dedication to tearing paper helped to start an industry to make handmade paper ornaments for the tins of cookies and fruitcakes for Gingersnaps. He will be missed by all his friends, family, and his LifeCare Staff in Houston.
All are invited to join the family for an inurnment service to be conducted at half-past eleven o’clock in the morning on Friday, the 16th of September, at Glenwood Cemetery in Houston.
The memorial service is to follow at one o’clock in the afternoon, also on Friday, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1015 Holman Street in Houston, where the Rev. Hannah E. Atkins, Rector, is to officiate.
In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions in honor of Jeremy may be directed to The Center Foundation’s LifeCare Program, 3550 W. Dallas St., Houston, TX, 77019.
