Bear graduated from Kingwood High School in the Class of '85. He married Patty Gholston on September 19th, 1987 whom he met in Houston. Bear worked in his family's carpentry business from a young age and later owned his own successful carpentry business called A+ Custom Cabinetry for over three decades. His family was his top priority and he loved fishing. He always said, "I'm either "on the saw" or "on the pond".
Jerry is survived by his father Jerry Gholston Sr., wife Patty Gholston, daughter Amy Capps and husband Paul, son Derrick Gholston and fiancé Samantha, grandchildren Chloe Capps, Connor Capps, Jameson Gholston along with Aunts Helen and Betty.
