Jerry Dewitt Cheatham, went home to be with his Lord on November 3, 2018. He was born July 2, 1951 in Houston, Tx. Jerry is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sheila Cheatham, son, Jeremy Cheatham & wife Jenny, grandchildren, Taylor, Chase, Aubrie, and Myles Cheatham, his brother & sister in law, Harvey & Janice Cheatham. He is preceded in death by father and mother, Harry & Lois Cheatham, sister, Wanda Roman, and brother, Harry Cheatham. Jerry graduated from Klein High School in 1970. He spent 30 years in communications working for Southwestern Bell. Jerry loved computers, reading, and singing in the church choir at Spring Baptist Church. Jerry and Sheila spent the last 18 years attending quilt shows all over the country with their sewing and thread business, Snip & Pins. Jerry will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation for family and friends will begin on Thursday, November 8th from 6pm to 9pm with the funeral service to begin promptly at 12:30pm at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway Houston, Texas 77039. Interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.

Only met him and his wife last year through Northwoods Baptist Church and my girlfriend, Jeanne. He was a genuine good guy and very witty. He will definitely be missed in this world.
