Jerry was the beloved husband of Rhonda, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage of thirty three years. Together they built a home filled with laughter, devotion, and countless memories.

He was a proud father to Kevin, Megan, and Alex, and took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild, as well as his many nieces and nephews. Family was at the heart of everything he did, and his signature phrase, “Like I said…” will forever echo affection.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Maria and Gilberto. His brothers Antonio Lara and John Lara and his nephew Tony Lara Jr.

He is survived by his three children Kevin Clark and wife Jawonna, Megan Selph and husband Matthew, Alex Lara and wife Brooke. His grandchildren Jacob Clark, Raylee Clark and Fiancė Peyton Parker, Tucker Clark, Masen Selph, Marshall Selph, and Micah Selph. His great grandchild Gracie Parker.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters; Socorro Morales, Gilberto Lara Jr., María del Consuelo “Connie” Lara, Olivia Lara and husband Rick, Alicia Lara, Mary Helen Lara, sister in law Alma Lara, and numerous nephews and nieces.

The visitation will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Brookside Funeral Home in Houston, TX. The service will be held following the visitation.
