As a young man, Jerry was a professional bowler and was on tour for a time, eventually giving up bowling due to back issues.
One of Jerry’s great loves was the business he and a partner started out of the trunk of their car making bowling trophies. It grew from Interstate Trophies to Interstate Promotional Products, employed over thirty employees for almost forty years and was a staple with many local Houston businesses, events and culture.
As part of the trophy business, Jerry was chosen to make and produce the Rotary Lombardi Award, presented to the best College Lineman. Even with a staff, Jerry took great pride in making the award himself every year.
A Celebration of Life is set for Saturday, March 28, 2 to 4 at La Hacienda Restaurant (1431 W 26th St, Houston, TX 77008). Please come casual, light and bright colors encouraged.
Jerry never stood on formality but rather a good use of time and resources, in lieu of flowers or donations, please enjoy time with those you hold dear, raise a glass to Jerry as well as your own loved ones that have gone before us. We truly hope you make that time together. Cheers!
