Jesse Limon Martinez, of Brookshire, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, at the age of 73.
Jesse was born on September 11, 1952, to Rebecca Limon Martinez and Paul Garcia Martinez, both of whom preceded him in death.
For over 40 years, Jesse worked as an upholsterer at P&M Upholstery, where he dedicated much of his time and skill to his craft for over 40 years.
Jesse enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved going on fishing trips and spending time near the water. He enjoyed good company and good music, especially classic rock, and he enjoyed spending time growing and caring for his plants. Jesse was also a big Houston Texans fan and enjoyed watching football.
Those who knew Jesse well, remember his sense of humor and loving personality. He was always joking and never took life too seriously, always enjoying the moment and filling the room with laughter. He was known by many as “ uncle Jesse” , a nickname given, not only by nieces and nephews, but also by friends and others who loved him like family. Above all, he was a proud grandfather, who loved his grandchildren deeply.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents Rebecca Limon Martinez and Paul Garcia Martinez; his beloved daughter, Corinne Martinez; his brother, Paul Jr Martinez; and his daughter-in-law, Christina Matthews Martinez.
Jesse is survived by his loving wife, Irma Vela Martinez, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.
He is also survived by his children: Pablo Nickolas Martinez, Jesse James Martinez, Rebecca Lauren Martinez, and Corissa Lexi Humble.
His beloved grandchildren include: Corissa Lexi Humble, Anthony Martinez, Alayna Martinez, Natalie Martinez, Ava Marie Martinez, Jesse J. Martinez, Noah Limon Martinez, Aaliyah Martinez, Sabrina Esme Solano, Christian Javier Solano, and Camila Isabel Solano.
He is also survived by his siblings: Elizabeth Peña, Ruth Ghawi, and Sonia Cerda.
The Martinez family is grateful for the love and support shown during this difficult time. Any continued donations towards funeral expenses are greatly appreciated.
Even though he is gone, his love, laughter, and the memories he created with his family and friends will forever live on.
Visitation will be held at Chapel of Eternal Peace at Forest Park, 2454 S Dairy Ashford, Houston, TX 77077, US, on March 19, 2026, at 9:00 am.
A Funeral will take place at Chapel of Eternal Peace at Forest Park, 2454 S Dairy Ashford, Houston, TX 77077, US, on March 19, 2026, at 10:00 am.
Committal will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077, US, on March 19, 2026, at 11:00 am.
