Jesus Aguilar Catalan, 60, passed away on October 3, 2026. Born on June 8, 1966, in Guerrero, Mexico, he carried with him a deep sense of faith and steadfast devotion throughout his life, offering quiet strength, kindness, and wisdom to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jesus was born to his parents Juan Aguilar and Amantina Catalan. At the age of twenty-one, he moved to the United States, a brave step that reflected both resilience and a hard-working spirit—qualities that would continue to define the life he built and the example he set.
For decades, Jesus earned the respect of colleagues and friends through honest work and steady dedication in Houston’s hospitality industry. He worked for Adam-s mark Hotel in Houston for ten years. He also worked with the Double Tree hotel in the Galleria area in Houston; Intercontinental Hotel and the Sonesta Hotel for the last twenty years. In every role, he was known for his reliability, thoughtful care for others, and the gentle, generous way he carried himself day after day.
Jesus was devoted to his family and cherished the home they made together in Houston, Texas. He was married to his loving wife, Fatima Sofia Aguilar, for thirty-nine years, and together they raised their children with loyalty, compassion, and selfless commitment—always placing family at the center of their lives.
In his personal time, Jesus found joy in the simple, meaningful moments: spending time with his family, caring for his pets, and staying busy around the house. When the day allowed, he also enjoyed relaxing during his downtime with a nice cold beer—content in the comfort of home and the company he loved most.
Jesus is survived by his wife, Fatima Sofia Aguilar; daughters, Cleotilde Marisol Vasquez and Roxana Magana; sons, Ulises Alfonso Magana, Jose A. Magana, Norberto A. Vasquez; and grandchildren, Sofia, Valerie, Jesus, Fatima, Matteo, Benjamin, and Alan.
Beloved and deeply cherished, Jesus Aguilar Catalan leaves a legacy of faithful love, quiet courage, and enduring generosity—an inspirational presence whose memory will remain close in the hearts of all who knew him.
