Jesse dedicated his life to finding his true love. Then the day came and he had found his match swiping right on Tinder. After months of conversations, he finally got to meet the girl with piercing green eyes and a playful smile who would become his wife of 11 years, Taylor Ashley. Jesse was so head over heels that he packed his bags and showed up at her doorstep in Cleveland, Texas to move in after a few weeks of dating. Throughout their relationship they had many adventures from California to Florida and Nashville. They would move all round the Houston area but no where compared to their home, Kingwood, TX where they created their greatest adventure, their children.
Jesse was a devoted father to Titan,8, and Athena, 4, He loved playing Fortnite and practicing lacrosse with his son. He enjoyed watching him grow into who he is today. His daughter made his laugh by always being silly and incredibly tenacious. Living room dances with his ladybug were his favorite. Jesse also excelled in his career by serving his community for 10+ years with both East Montgomery County Fire Department and Porter Fire Department. Making his way through the ranks by educating himself and getting a degree to eventually become Captain. After retiring from EMCFD, he grew a passion for wanting to train others.
After his diagnosis of Stage IV Lung Cancer, due to the job, he grew his love into educating the new generation to carry on “The Castillo Way”. He worked alongside many during his tenure, some of which will always remember him as the Captain who pushed out too many rookies. He leaves behind a legacy of integrity, perseverance and love. He asks of you to “Be strong and courageous for the Lord is with you" He leaves behind his wife, Taylor Ashley, children, Titan and Athena.
He is survived by his Mother, Claudia Vegara and Raul Rodriguez. Brothers, Raul Rodriguez Jr., Ryan Rodriguez, and Marc Rodriguez (Gabriana) and nephew Princeton. His Grandpa, Isidro V Bustamante. His Father, Jesus Castillo and Leticia Ayala. Sister, Jessica Castillo. His Mother in love, Cheryl Jennings and Sister in love Sydney Davidson. Along with multiple other family members, friends and his many dear brothers in the fire service.
