She was born in Houston, Texas in March 1936.
Susie worked with jewelry for Gordon’s Jeweler and Balfour. She then went into the maintenance industry for several commercial companies in Houston. She was a single mom who worked hard to support her three daughters. She could always rely on the help of her older sister Genevive “Guero”, her mother, and her cousins and siblings.
Susie had a passion for walking, exercising, biking, cross-stitch, and winning at Checkers and Loteria.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Genevieve Morin; her mother and father, Atanacia “Mama Tana” Luna and Geronimo Luna; her bothers and sisters (and their spouses) Maria Munoz Arellano (Manuel Arellano), Juan Munoz (Mauricia Munoz), Guadalupe Munoz (Eulogia Munoz), Frances Munoz Gonzales (Rosando Gonzales), Jovita Munoz Mendiola (Manuel Mendiola), Genevive Luna Cazares (Richard Cazares), Esperanza Luna Sierra (Rosalio Sierra), and Amelia Luna Sammon (James Sammon).
She is survived by her daughter Diana Morin Valencia and her son-in-law Robert Valencia, her daughter Sandra Kay Morin; and her Grandchildren Christine Marie Leal and her husband Francisco Alonso, Chris Andrew Morin, Kevin Michael Snyder, and Kelly Frances Snyder. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003, US, on September 1, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with a Rosary Service at the same location on September 1, 2026, at 7:00 pm.
Visitation will also be held at Holy Name Catholic Church, 1920 Marion St, Houston, Texas 77009, on September 2, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Name Catholic Church, 1920 Marion St, Houston, TX 77009, US, on September 2, 2026, at 10:30 am.
A Committal Service will take place at Historic Hollywood Cemetery, 3506 N Main St, Houston, TX 77009, US, on September 2, 2026, at 11:30 am.
