Jimmy "Flaco" Garza

Jimmy “Flaco” Garza, 59, passed away on October 13, 2026, in Houston, Texas. Jimmy was born on March 27, 1967, in Jourdanton, Texas, to Santiago Garza and Maria Santos Cruz. He was a kind-hearted man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures and was known for his easygoing spirit and daily routines that brought him happiness.

Jimmy enjoyed spending his time working on crossword puzzles, reading books. He was often seen riding his bicycle, a favorite pastime that reflected his independent and active nature. Each morning, Jimmy looked forward to reading the newspaper, keeping up with current events and beginning his day with a familiar ritual he cherished. He was a hard worker; he loved to work and knew how to do just about anything. He was also a caregiver for his mother and cared for her in her last years of life. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Maria Santos Cruz and Santiago Garza. He was also preceded in death by his brothers:  Rudy "Loco" Villanueva and Jr Villanueva. He is survived by his children; Jimmy Garza, Jenny Garza, and Crystal Trevino, he is also survived by his sisters and brothers. 

He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love of learning, and the simple joys that filled his life. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Jimmy’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends as they cherish the moments shared with him and celebrate a life well lived.
