OBITUARY

Jimmye Lynne "Mimi" Saldivar

Jimmye Lynne French Saldivar was granted her angel wings on June 6, 2020. She was born on October 19, 1942 in Houston, TX to Arnett and Flora French and raised in Galena Park, Tx.

Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Jimmye had touched throughout her very memorable life.

She was an active member of the The Woodlands Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and worked with various charities.

Her interests included family, gardening, sewing, reading, crafting and toll painting. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members.

Jimmye is survived by her husband of 54 years, Joe; daughters, Kelly (Roy) and Jennifer (Jose); grandchildren, Jackie, Jacob, John; great-grandchild, Danny; sister, Judy Hawthorne (Ric); niece Kate (Hawthorne) Ferrier, nephew, Casey Hawthorne (Mirna); great nephew, Max; great nieces, Charlotte, Mila, Madi and Marissa; sister MJ Harrison.

She was preceded in death by her daddy, Arnett E. French; her mama Flora Lee (Tucker) French; Sister, Jerrye Lee French; Brother, Arnett E. French, II (Gene/Bubba)

We would like to thank all the wonderful people from Encompass Hospice who took such great care of mom.

At her request, no service will be held. There will be an informal celebration of her life at her house on Saturday, June 20th starting at 11:00.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.

I’ll remember Jimmye for so many things, not the least of which was her Jalapeño Jelly. Jimmye was all as spicy as her jelly.
A kinder more committed follower of Jesus one could not find.

To Jimmye’s family I love you all so much and my heart is aching as yours does!!
Jimmye and I were best friends getting into trouble quite frequently whether we tried or not! But we dearly cared for each other and went through thick and thin together! I will miss you greatly dear friend!!
