

Jo Ann graduated from Jeff Davis High School shortly after she met Hollis Williams in Houston and got married on September 4, 1954. Jo Ann had a career in Banking at North Side Bank for over 20 years. She had a passion for reading especially Harlequin romance novels and loved music.
In the late 1940’s she moved to Houston with her family and met her future husband, Hollis. Jo Ann and Hollis married and had 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She especially loved getting together with her family and friends for all holidays and special occasions. Jo Ann had a great spirit with a good sense of humor and was loved by everyone who met her. She also was a giving person who was always willing to help any family or friend in need. She was an amazing cook. Some of her best dishes were her signature pot roast, chicken and dumplings, and her famous homemade cheeseburgers, which she made every Friday night. Jo Ann was a loving, caring friend, daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her daughters, Hollie Williams and Jacki Williams; parents, Rosa L., and Willie J. Rollin; granddaughter, Stacie Sorters; sister, Georgie May Roach; and daughter-in-law, Jerri Williams.
Jo Ann is survived by her son and daughter, Jon Williams, and Jamie Betts (Joe Betts); grandchildren, Kyle Williams, Raymond Mason (Brittany Mason), Wade Williams (Yoana Benitez- Williams), Meghan Williams, and Kelli Zook; great grandchildren, Allen Williams, and Jake Williams; along with her extended family Renee Zavala, Frank Zavala, Frank Zavala Jr., and Mark Zavala.
Serving as pallbearers are Joe Betts, Kyle Williams, Raymond Mason, Wade Williams, Allen Williams, Sam Pantoja, Frank Zavala Jr., and Mark Zavala.
Donations in Jo Ann’s name may be made to Saint Luke's Vintage Hospital.

A visitation for Jo will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 21, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A committal service will occur Friday, February 21, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
